An all-over print golf polo needs more than an attractive artwork file. The repeat, fabric, print process and garment construction work together. At Ganyn Apparel, the print brief is reviewed with the material and sample specification before bulk production.

Start with artwork you are authorized to use

Share the original design or a reference you have permission to reproduce. Identify whether you need artwork development, color adaptation or an existing production-ready repeat. Request an NDA before exchanging confidential files. Agree the deliverables and design costs for your project.

Define scale, spacing and direction

Specify the motif size and repeat dimensions in physical units, plus the gap between motifs and the intended orientation. A small leaf repeat and a larger version of the same artwork create different garment appearances. Review both at garment scale rather than only as a full-screen artwork image.

Identify any placement print separately. If the collar, placket or cuffs use another color or pattern, include those decisions in the technical brief.

Select the print route for the actual fabric

Conventional dye sublimation is normally considered for compatible polyester-based fabrics, often using a light base. A polyester / elastane blend still needs a trial for heat response, color and recovery. Cotton-rich or nylon fabrics need a suitable process of their own.

A smooth jersey face can help fine details appear clearer. Pique and jacquard have texture that may alter line definition. Compare the print result on the fabric you intend to order, not on a substitute swatch.

Approve a physical print trial

Review the intended palette, repeat scale, direction and edge clarity on the selected material. Screen colors are useful references but are affected by display settings. Agree the physical color approval reference and any relevant care checks before approving the printed garment.

Decide seam matching before cutting

A repeating pattern crosses separate garment panels. Exact motif alignment at seams is a construction and cutting requirement, not an automatic result of all-over printing. Specify which seams matter, the acceptable alignment and the effect on consumption, cost and schedule.

Review the finished sample and record approval

Inspect the print around the collar, placket, shoulder, armhole and hem. Check fit, fabric feel and appearance under stretch as well as artwork. Record the approved version and any remaining revisions together so bulk production follows one clear specification.

What should you ask golf shirt manufacturers before sampling?

Ask how the proposed print process works with the selected fabric, who develops the repeat artwork and which physical trials are included in sampling. Confirm motif size, direction, color references and any seam-matching requirement in the same specification.

Compare the scope of the quotation, not only the garment price. Clarify fabric and trim minimums, artwork or tooling charges, sample revisions and the approval reference used for production. Ganyn's designers can develop original artwork from an idea; exclusive-use terms and confidential files are agreed before protected details are exchanged.
